He Should Have Bet That The Orioles Will Continue To Suck

Pete Rose's admission that he gambled on baseball, and his desire to be reinstated in the sport, is interesting to non-baseball fans like myself because it is about much more than baseball. Such as forgiveness, and its limits, a concept that plays a role in issues like the death penalty and likely a few times in your own lives.

Having said that, if even a small part of you thinks Rose should be reinstated in baseball and let in its Hall of Fame, then please read this essay in last Sunday's Outlook section. It's by John M.
